Firm founder, Luis Perez, and his team of highly skilled attorneys have 50 plus years of combined experience and have completed over 250 jury and non-jury trials.

We diligently identify the core issues involved and direct all of our resources and attention toward the vital matters, the “case making” matters, without burying the case and client in paper and costs –– which is a proficiency only attainable through years of experience.

Simply put, at PLG we try cases and our trial experience is well founded. While many cases do not go to trial, failing to prepare for the possibility that it will is a common mistake. At PLG, we handle all matters with the mindset that the case can be resolved outside of the courtroom, to our clients’ satisfaction, yet with the understanding that it may be tried. We are not intimidated by the uncertainties of a trial and our lawyers prepare from day one as if the case will be tried.

Luis is AV-rated and a member of the elite American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). ABOTA is a nomination board, meaning a lawyer is first privately nominated and then must be voted on by the members. He has tried over 135 jury trials, ranging all aspects of the spectrum:

♦  Insurance, personal injury, death cases, contracts, wills disputes, car accidents, slip/falls, brokerage commissions, etc.
♦ County court to Federal court
♦ Miami, Broward, Palm Beach, the Florida Keys

On non-jury matters, he has tried over 70 workers compensation final hearings all over Florida as well as over 30 bench trials in Miami.

Luis has gone to trial with the other attorneys at the firm, Hector Mesa and Williams Mesa, who have second chaired several cases and conducted parts of the trials as well.
